Day 1 Induction
The course begins with an induction session, delivered via PowerPoint, to provide a clear structure of the course, outline assessment criteria, and navigate through the online portal. Learners with prior practical experience will receive step-by-step training in assessment protocols to refine their skills. The induction also covers the scheme of work, course deadlines, a guided tour of our online learning portal, where you can access theory materials, practical assessment videos, and course manuals. Throughout your training, a dedicated assessor will monitor your individual learning plan, ensuring you stay on track and progress smoothly through the course.
Day 2 & 3 Botulinum Toxin
Your practical training in Botulinium Toxin techniques is fully tailored to your existing skills, focusing on enhancing your skills and refining any habits you may have developed. Before beginning hands-on practice, you will complete online, tutor-led demonstrations covering all treatment protocols on the 3 areas on the temporal region of the face. You will then apply your knowledge in a clinical setting, carrying out five assessments on five different clients presenting a variety of different protocols. Followed by a professional discussion and feedback session with your assessor.
Day 4 Dermal Filler Lips
Day 3 begins with a PowerPoint presentation recapping lip filler complications, followed by a live demonstration on administering Hylase and removing lip filler on a model. You will then take part in practical lip filler training, where your existing skills and techniques will be evaluated, and you will practise the assessment protocol under the guidance of your assessor. The session concludes with a supervised lip filler treatment to prepare you for your observed assessments.
Day 5 Dermal Filler Facial Contouring
Your practical training in dermal filler techniques for the contour package—covering the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and chin—is tailored to your current skills, enhancing technique and refining existing habits. After completing online, tutor-led demonstrations of all treatment protocols, you will carry out four clinical assessments on different clients with varied treatment needs. Each session ends with a professional discussion and feedback from your assessor to prepare you for final assessment.
Day 6 Theory and Practical Exams
Once you have successfully passed your online assignments and feel confident, you can schedule your final assessment at the Academy, and a review of the written assignments to assess your knowledge in detail. Final summative practical assessments, observed by the awarding body’s External Quality Assurer (EQA), are held every six months.
You can pre-book your Day 5 final assessment to coincide with the scheduled EQA visit, ensuring a smooth and timely completion of your qualification.
