    Founder

What is your role in the academy?

I have assumed a multitude of roles, but one that I hold dear is that of a mentor, guide and a teacher. It's a privilege to share both my technical and business knowledge with my team, who in turn pass on this invaluable expertise to their students. This cycle of learning and growth empowers our students to excel in the highly competitive aesthetic industry.

I am incredibly fortunate to have unwavering support from my son, Alexander and to work alongside an exceptionally talented team of teachers who are my constant source of strength. With their dedication, I now find myself in a position to expand our business globally and develop our skincare brand. This new role is filled with exciting possibilities and growth, aligning with the vision I've held for many years.

How Did You Start in the Industry and Why?

My journey in the beauty industry began as a result of a significant life change. While pregnant with my first child, I decided to transition from a stressful sales career to beauty to accommodate a part-time work schedule that allowed me to care for my child. This decision was made nearly 30 years ago.

My initial step into the industry was quite humble—I rented a cleaning cupboard in a leisure center near my home. However, this modest beginning fueled with determination and passion evolved into a thriving venture, ultimately leading to the establishment of three salons, the creation of a training academy and the development of my own skincare range.

    Why Do You Like Teaching?

My teaching journey began with a desire to help others through Reiki and Meditation. Teaching these practices also had a profound impact on my own life. It helped transform my once-stressful personality into one that radiated calmness.

Over time, my teaching path evolved to Aesthetics, which I found incredibly fulfilling. I relished the challenge of taking someone with no prior experience and guiding them to become a master in the field of Aesthetics. I developed my own unique teaching style, which incorporates my spiritual training, allowing me to provide a holistic and transformative learning environment for aesthetic students.

Teaching, to me, is not just about issuing a certificate; it's about giving my students a lifelong career that will sustain them, in the aesthetic industry and beyond.

    Alex Paternott

    Director

What Is Your Role in the Academy?

For the most part I'm our director of operations, but as with any small family owned company, I wear a lot of hats. Not only do I handle a lot of the back end of the business but I also have a hand in all of the content we shoot for social media.

How Did You Start in the Industry and Why?

We've all seen our parents work until 3 o'clock in the morning. But now that I work with my mum I'm actually in a position to help her when she does.

After finishing my undergrad in Politics and International Relations and my Masters in Global Political Economy I found myself working in the financial technology sector. While it is fun to have meetings with huge investments banks, I reaslised that it wasnt the work I wanted to be doing in the end. So I was looking for a change. When my mum asked me to help expand the family business, I couldn't say no. That was back in 2017. I never expected to end up in the family business but its beena wild ride so far. Being able to bring over some of the lessons I learned in the fintech industry has meant that Revival has been able to be at the forefront of the aesthetics industry in a way that a lot of other similar institutions have not been able to match. To be part of a team that's leading a disruption and shakeup of the aesthetics and teaching industry has been a fascinating journey.

Since I joined the company there have been a lot of ups and downs but I'm glad that I've been here to help out my family.

What is your role in the academy?

I initially joined the team as an aesthetic therapist, a role that rapidly evolved into a teaching position. Presently, I serve as the lead internal verifier, where I am tasked with developing teaching resources and teaching Botox, Advanced Skin and Fat Dissolving courses.

On the days when I'm not teaching, I carry out injectable treatments in our clinic, social media and  admin duties. My role within the academy has provided me with all round experience, which has contributed to my personal and professional development. My journey within Revival has been truly inspirational and enjoyable.

Can you share your experience working at Revival and why you joined the industry?

My entry into the aesthetic industry was driven by a deep passion for the field. Although my educational background was a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience, I made the decision to pursue a career aligned with my true passion.

I started my training at Revival Academy and in just two years, I am armed with 9 Aesthetic Treatments and Teaching Diplomas. What I love most about my role at Revival is the incredible variety of tasks I'm engaged in and the rapid personal and professional growth I've experienced in such a short span of time. My decision to join the industry has proven to be immensely rewarding and meaningful.

What do you like about teaching?

Teaching holds a special place in my heart because of the immense fulfillment it brings. It's a role that has allowed me to make a profound and positive impact on the lives of my students, many of whom came as complete beginners to the industry. Witnessing their transformation, growth, and the realisation of their own potential is an experience that is truly incomparable to any other job I have ever encountered.

I have found the rewards of teaching extend far beyond the classroom; It is an incredibly rewarding and gratifying experience that keeps me passionate about teaching every day.

    Aesthetic Teacher

What Is Your Role in the Academy?

In the academy, I serve as an aesthetic teacher, leveraging my dental nursing training to enrich this role significantly. My enthusiasm for educating our students, combined with a drive to equip them for success in the competitive aesthetic industry, defines my teaching mission. The support from Daksha and collaboration with her extraordinary team amplify my effectiveness and dedication.

How Did You Start in the Industry and Why?

Initially drawn to the beauty industry for its promise of passion and less stress, after i came as a model for a class taught at Revival piqued my interest in aesthetics. Enrolling in the CPD Level 5 course was the first step on this exciting path. Completing every course Revival offered, I've now been training at Revival Academy for nearly two years, with a sense that my true journey is just beginning.

    Why do you like teaching?

Teaching offers the profound joy of guiding novices through their transformation into skilled aesthetics professionals. Arzu Osku

    Manager

What is your role in the academy?

I am the Clinic Manager, Lead Therapist, and Trainer at Revival. My role involves managing the team, delivering advanced skin and injectable treatments, and supporting teachers with assessment training during Ofqual qualifications. I have a strong background in driving sales, which is a passion of mine and something I have consistently excelled in throughout my career. At Revival, I’ve also received extensive training in injectable treatments, and I value the academy’s commitment to continuous development. The constant opportunity to upgrade my skills keeps me motivated and inspired.

How did you start in the industry and why?

I originally trained and worked as a hairdresser for many years, but after battling cancer I had to step away from that career. Seven years ago, I came to Revival Academy as a student and completed all of my aesthetic training with Daksha. From there, I went on to work in other clinics in roles very similar to the one I hold today. Returning to Revival to now work alongside my former teacher feels truly inspirational, and I am enjoying the variety of tasks I perform each day as part of the management team.

What do you like about teaching?

In my previous roles, I was responsible for training therapists in advanced and machine-led treatments, ensuring that all staff worked to the same high standard. I really enjoyed the process of upskilling others and seeing their abilities grow. At Revival, I’ve been able to take this experience to the next level by supporting students through Ofqual-regulated qualifications. Helping learners achieve these demanding standards and watching them progress in their careers is a part of my role that I find especially rewarding.

What is your role in the academy?

My time at Revival has been an incredible journey of growth and discovery. With Daksha’s guidance, I’ve been encouraged to push beyond my comfort zone and take on treatments I never imagined myself doing—such as laser treatments, skin boosters, fat-dissolving injections, and even teaching. These experiences have not only built my confidence but also allowed me to explore my creativity and find my true voice within the industry. What I value most about Revival is the supportive and motivating environment, where ideas are welcomed, individuality is celebrated, and we all share the same goal:

How did you start in the industry and why?

I began my journey with a Microblading course as a quick entry point into the beauty industry, but it wasn’t until I joined Revival that I discovered just how much more there was to explore. Revival opened the door for me into advanced treatments, particularly injectables. As a complete beginner, my training in both skin and injectable treatments with Daksha and Rocco has been supportive, intensive, and incredibly rewarding. This experience has not only expanded my skills but also given me the confidence to grow within a career I’m truly passionate about.

What do you like about teaching?

Teaching was something I never imagined myself doing before joining Revival. With Daksha’s guidance, patience, and encouragement in the early stages, I discovered skills I didn’t even realise I had. Over time, teaching has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my role. I love being able to share my knowledge, support students through challenging qualifications, and watch their confidence and abilities grow. What started as an unexpected opportunity has now become one of the most fulfilling highlights of my journey at Revival.

    Jahnvi Bhudia

    Therapist

What is your role in the academy?

At Revival, my role began as an aesthetic therapist but quickly developed into much more. I support the day-to-day running of the business, from front desk duties and stock control to room preparation and social media. Within the academy, I assist our teachers by preparing Ofqual students for their Level 5 and 6 practical assessments, ensuring their work meets exam standards. I also prepare and track Ofqual assessment evidence. During my time at Revival, I’ve been fully trained across laser and advanced skin treatments as well as teaching, which has been both rewarding and a huge confidence boost.

How did you start in the industry and why?

I’ve always been passionate about beauty, particularly skincare and aesthetic treatments, so pursuing a career in this field felt like a natural choice. I began with a basic beauty course at an FE college while gaining practical experience in the industry. That first step set me on the path I’m on today. Now, at Revival, I have the privilege of training and working alongside some of the most skilled therapists and teachers in the industry. Each day I continue to build my expertise, grow in confidence, and progress in the career I’ve always aspired to.

What do you like about teaching?

What I love most about teaching is helping students refine their skills to meet exam standards while also building their confidence. Stepping into a teaching role has also elevated my own knowledge and strengthened my confidence, as I continue to learn alongside my students. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how my guidance—whether in practical training or overseeing their portfolios—can make such a difference. Watching students progress, achieve their qualifications, and secure their careers is one of the most fulfilling parts of my role.
