Morning Regime

Treat daily skin congestion: 

1. After a thorough cleansing regime, apply the serum to dry skin.
2. Distribute the serum evenly to the face using your fingertips.
3. For enhanced sun protection, follow up with the Illumine BB Cream (SPF 30) or opt for the Illumine Moisturiser (SPF 50) during peak sun hours.

Evening Microneedling Regime

Treat excess sebum and dullness in the epidermal layers:

• For enhanced penetration of the serum, use a 540-needle derma roller with 0.5mm depth. This creates 540 precise micro-channels, facilitating the serum to effortlessly reach and address concerns localised in the basal layer, ensuring a deeply clarified skin.

Professional Facial

Treat acne blemishes located in the germinating layer:

• Initiate the treatment by setting the Dermapen to a depth of 1.0mm, using gentle, circular motions, ensuring the skin is continuously saturated with the serum during the 5-7 minute microneedling session. (Avoid inducing excessive trauma or bleeding, as this can affect the serum's effectiveness and absorption to our target, the upper dermis.)
• For enhanced penetration, you can opt for either the cold hammer probe or for no-needle mesotherapy, using circular movements with device settings ranging between 5-6, aiming to further saturate the serum into the germinating layer.

 Allocate 4-5 minutes for this phase.

• This synergistic approach ensures the serum is optimally absorbed, while also offering a tranquil relief post the rigour of microneedling, guaranteeing the skin feels soothed and clarified.

Always perform a patch test before use.

Avoid applying the peel to broken, irritated, or inflamed skin. If you have any contagious facial conditions that have the potential to spread, do not use.

Aftercare Advice

To maximise the effectiveness of the Clarify Serum, avoid integrating products loaded with mineral oil, lanolin, or alcohol into your regime. These ingredients can disrupt the skin's natural acid mantle and alter its pH, potentially compromising the serum's absorption and performance.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): is a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals and helps fade acne blemishes.

Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract: Turmeric with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties helps calm irritated skin, reduces redness, improves blemishes and brightens the skin tone. 

Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract: A skin-brightening and anti-inflammatory plant extract that helps fade acne blemishes

Lycium Barbarum (Goji Berry) Fruit Extract: Rich in antioxidants, helps protect skin from environmental stress, promotes hydration. 

Echinacea Purpurea Extract: Boosts the skin’s defence against acne and helps reduce acne inflammation.

Sodium Polyglutamate: Derived from fermented soybeans, a powerful humectant that locks in moisture.

Beta-Glucan: Extracted from oats, Beta Glucan is known for its soothing and hydrating properties,  helps calm skin irritation, and reduces redness.

Ceramide 3: A lipid molecule naturally found in the skin, that helps restore the skin's natural barrier, locks in moisture, and improves hydration, making the skin more resilient

During my teenage years, I battled with oily, acne-prone skin. In desperation, I turned to steaming, extractions, benzoyl peroxide and the famous Apris scrub as my go-to remedies, never realising that my aggressive and very ignorant approach was worsening the very skin issues I was aiming to resolve. 

Here are my simple don'ts that are easy to follow but so tempting to do when you’re battling with teenage acne.

Don’t overstimulate the sebaceous glands with steam, spread the bacteria by extracting, use drying or abrasive skincare products that destroy the acid mantle.

Don’t try home remedies, save your money and time and let the skincare expert deal with it.
