FAQs

How can I boost my antioxidant levels to prevent pigmentation naturally?

By incorporating potent antioxidants like Turmeric and Vitamin C into both your diet and skincare. Using these antioxidants in masks and serums amplifies their efficacy against free radicals. Foods abundant in antioxidants also help with this. Such as berries, nuts, dark leafy greens and green tea. These combined will help to safeguard the skin from pigmentation triggers.

What causes pigmentation in the first place?

Pigmentation can result from a combination of factors, including sun exposure (UV radiation), hormonal changes, certain medications and genetic predisposition. It occurs when your body is lacking antioxidants and when melanin is overproduced in certain areas of the skin.

Is every 2 weeks too frequent to have the Illumine Peel?

Its distinct formula ensures the peel is gentle yet effective, combining brightening acids, antioxidants, and soothing plant extracts. To address pigmentation deep in the basal layer, a consistent bi-weekly treatment is recommended. This approach avoids the pitfalls of high-percentage acids which might lead to excessive peeling or pH shifts in the skin.

Are there specific products I can use at home to enhance the effects of the Illumine Peel?

Absolutely! To amplify the results of the Illumine Peel at home we recommend integrating the antioxidant-infused Illumine Serum and Illumine Hydra Solution into your daily regime.

Following up with the Illumine Moisturiser not only bolsters the effects of the peel but also aids in warding off future pigmentation. Proper and consistent homecare is the key to sustained results.

How often should I schedule a professional Illumine Peel facial?

If you’re seeking to combat dull skin and desire a radiant glow, a monthly session is ideal. However, if addressing pigmentation or acne blemishes is your primary concern, every 2 weeks for a course of 5 treatments combined with a dedicated Illumine homecare routine yields exceptional results.

Can the Illumine Peel address all types of pigmentation?

Unfortunately not. The Illumine Peel is specifically designed to target hyperpigmentation and skin blemishes. However, it's worth noting that it may not be effective for conditions like melasma and chloasma. These deeper, often hormone-induced pigmentation require a more specialised approach. For melasma and chloasma, treatments such as fractional laser therapy and deeper chemical peels under the supervision of a dermatologist are a better option.
